Booking flights and planning trips!

Travel blog in Japan

Tokyo, Japan

Hello travelers!

Today I have exciting news for you! I have finally booked my next trip after spending too many months (but not according to my friends and family) at home. So where am I going next?

Germany! And to be exact Berlin.

I have been to Berlin before once. It was about three years ago I think. However, there’s a catch. You can’t really count my first trip to Berlin as a real visit because I didn’t go to see any attractions nor did I walk around just to experience the place. Maybe I will someday tell you this travel story from my past in my main travel blog. But for now, let’s just say that I spend in Berlin one night and that night I slept at the airport. During that one day, I was waiting in line for a concert that I later attended to.

That’s it. All I saw was that one building where the concert was held. Kind of sad…

Despite my last visit to Berlin I have always wanted to do a proper trip to the capital of Germany. German was the first language I started to learn in school after Finnish and we had to learn a lot about the culture of Germany. Berlin always seemed like a place where the history of us Europeans but also our future mix together.

After a few weeks, I will be on my way to explore Berlin solo for five days. How cool is that? Dreams really come true!

With love & wanderlust,
Lost Viivi

Ueno Park’s Torii Gates

Ueno Park, Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo’s best torii gate photography place is definitely in Ueno park. I walked past this spot so many times that I can testify how popular it is. There was always someone posing in front of the torii path. This photo was taken on surprising moment when no one else was under the gates.

The Mysterious Mansion

I’m still wondering what is this place. On our Tallinn trip we stopped in front of this house to eat our lunch. Like you can see the pretty pinkish building was full of graffiti and looked eerie in the middle of the busy city. How can so beautiful place be destroyed like that?

Hello there, this is me!

Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan

So I finally shared my photo in my “real” travel blog and Instagram. Hello everyone and I know some of you have been waiting for this one long enough so this is me. Well, to be exact this is me from year ago when I was staying in Kyoto. Don’t ask why I am dressed like that because I have no idea. I have zero fashion sense so be warned if I ever again share another photo of myself.

I hope you are having an amazing day and see you (hopefully) tomorrow!

Shadows & Reflections

Helsinki streets and buildings

I love looking at shadows and taking photos of them even if my photography skills aren’t good enough to make these photos beautiful. Well I’m improving so maybe someday I will take the perfect shadowy photo! Oh, and another thing I love that is a little easier to photograph is reflections in water like in that small pond in this photo.

The Lovely Art

I love museums and I think I have mentioned that too many times in my blogs… But this photo really sums up why. Some people don’t realize how cool can art be. Usually we think art means old buildings full of even older paintings.

In reality art can mean colors, laughing until you can’t breath and finding peace inside of yourself. This art work was exhibited in Kiasma museum earlier this year. There was long line of people wanting to take nap in the comfy looking hammock things.

My love

Sunsets are the love of my life. I would give up everything if I would see the sun setting and rising everyday in new place. My soul yearns for new experiences and places. For quiet moments just me and the beautiful sunset. This is the reason I travel. It is the only way I can feel peaceful…

Cool, huh?

balloons

I may have too many photos of art in my blogs BUT this is my blog and I will do whatever I want… So like I keep telling you there is a lot of amazing and interesting art in our word. Not just the old paintings but everything and anything.

This photo is from Moderna Museet and maybe one of the coolest exhibitions I have seen. You got to walk between these huge balloons that took over the whole first room of the exhibition. Cool, huh?

The old and The new

tallinn15

This view to the Tallinn’s old town really charmed me. It wasn’t only because I love old towns and the sky after storm. At this point we had been few morning hours in the city and it had already make good first impression on me. This was the final touch to make me fall in love.

So what took my attention when taking this photo? That pillar full of stickers. New and old next to each other somehow makes me photograph like crazy…
