Finding my inner girl boss

Blogger ready to travel

Airport in Finland

How are you doing travelers?

I love this photo I took just after landing back to Finland after my Turkey trip. It may not be the best quality or the prettiest one. However, it takes me back to that moment, the feelings I had in my heart.

Usually, when I’m leaving a place my mind is full of clutter and it just feels so unreal: I may never return to this place. This time something was different. I came back to my lovely Finland and it was so sunny. Even the world seemed to smile for me and I couldn’t stop grinning. It felt like this trip had opened my eyes to see something new. I knew what I wanted to do. That’s rare in my life. I was going to go back home, clean the house, have one day off and then start again everything. Daily blogging, my work schedule, and life as a positive productive person.

Plans like this are normal for me. I get the idea of changing my life about once a month but it never works out. This time I for some reason knew that something was changed. My plan wasn’t going to be a fail this time around and at least now it’s working out. I’m on my second week of daily blogging but also on my third week of working six hours on fice days a week! Never felt this proud of myself…

Do you feel happy when returning back home? Or rather endless depressed thoughts? All answers to this postcard are more than welcome to the comments.

Kind regards,
Viivi

Not so warm memories

Blogging in Snowy Finland

Somewhere in Finland

Fourth day in the row!

So, this daily blogging things seems to work? Today I wanted to share a photo from winter with you. Because Finnish year is what it is, this photo was taken a month ago. Right now we have about 20-celsius warmth and it’s so green everywhere! Our weather changes in second from winter to spring and from spring to summer.

I’m not missing winter but it’s a little too shiny outside. As true Finn, I will always find something to complain about our weather… It’s our thing.

What kind of weather is it in your home country right now?

With love,
Lost Viivi

Blogger’s summer holiday

Finnish summer scenery

Church in Finland

Hello there, how are you doing?

Today’s postcard is going to be full of summer holiday and blogging thoughts. The photo above was taken during my last summer while working. The last 4 years or so I have been in different summer jobs and loved all of them dearly. I applied for one job this year (Who wouldn’t want to be robot mower’s babysitter?). However, it’s unlikely that I will get this job so generally speaking my holiday will this year be free of working for others!

So, what plans I have for my summer? Even if I won’t be working for others, there will be a lot of working for myself. This business thing is taking off slowly so I will literally write whole June. It’s not a bad thing! In addition to that, I was invited on two family holidays. At the beginning of June, we will go for Stockholm cruise. While at the end of June my family flies to Germany where we will drive around sightseeing castles. Right after that trip I will fly by myself to Japan and stay there for few months. My perfect summer is full of writing and traveling around the world!

What holiday plans do you have? Any jobs or trips around the world? Feel free to answer this postcard in the comments!

With sunny wishes,
Viivi

Waterfall photos and travel blogging

Waterfall from Iceland travel

That one waterfall in Southern Iceland

Hello, how is adventuring going?

This photo was taken last year during my Iceland trip. We went on tour around the south coast of Iceland and saw so many waterfalls that I can’t even name this one. It was one of my best travel experiences yet. My dream has been to visit this beautiful rural northern island since we spoke about it in middle school. The photos of endless nature and breath-taking views just seemed like a dream.

All my expectation were met and even exceeded. There is no place like Iceland. You wouldn’t understand if you haven’t been there. At first, I was a little bit disappointed that my trip wasn’t during the winter but later on I come to the conclusion that this season just between autumn and winter was perfect. The green summer time was gone, there were no more autumn colors but still, we could see everything because there was no snow. Perfect timing. I may have written a dozen poems during my visit to Iceland…

Have you ever visited Iceland or walked under a waterfall? All answers to this postcard are more than welcome!

With love,
Viivi

Moving street art in Rome

Colorful metro in Rome

Rome, Italy

Hello travelers!

Are you as crazy about street art as I am? Then you can understand how these subways in Italy took me to the seventh heaven. It just looked so cool even if my mum didn’t understand the attachment I had for these fastly moving colors.

It’s extremely embarrassing to take photos or videos on metro if you ask my opinion. Whatever in London, Italy or New York, I just hate it. People are staring me thinking I’m some wannabe vlogger (well, they are not far from the truth…) and it makes me look even more tourist than I would look anyway. And still, I have to do it every time! I’m not kidding. My photo album has at least dozen subway photos from every city I have visited that has subway or train. This Italy photo is just beginning!

With love,

Addicted to writing guides

writing guides

Hello there!

If you are reading my other blogs, you may already know that I’m a huge writing guide addict. In fact, I have over 20 writing guides on my bookshelf and that’s a lot when you take in count that I bought the first guide roughly six months ago. These two books I bought from my recent Helsinki trip. The bookstore in there is a lot bigger when compared to my hometown so I could not pass the opportunity to get these books. Okay!? I don’t have a problem! I will someday read all these books. I promise…

So, am I the only one or has anyone else addiction of buying books? Or maybe buying something else “you totally need to have to make your life better”?

With love,
The Writer Viivi

Blue sky and missing Paris

paris2

Paris, France

It’s so odd how quickly time flies. The photo above is from my family’s Paris trip. It was before I even started travel blogging or truly become a traveler. At that time, every trip I made felt so unique and like a dream. I only left Finland about once a year. Everything has changed so quickly. It has been a few years but my life is so different. This year I have traveled to 10 different countries. I have done trip almost every month of the year. Am I just dreaming? Can this even be a real life?

Touristy Paris

Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour, Paris, France

This photo is from the time before my new camera. In fact I used to take all my photos with phone. I don’t know how that worked out but no one has been complaining too much about the quality of my blog’s photos… Even if it’s old photo I wanted to share it. Why? I have no idea. I just find Paris so beautiful even if there is too much tourists everywhere.
